Actor Training
To deliver the inaugural season of Shakespeare Under the Stars we created an intensive actor training program for local emerging artists in Newcastle. Across 14 weeks from, October 2022 to January 2023, Janie Gibson trained 11 emerging artists in voice, ensemble and Shakespeare culminating in the performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Each artist received a full scholarship (valued at $3850) and in turn delivered an enthusiastic and mesmerising season of Shakespeare Under the Stars. This project invested new skills in the local performance arts community and grew our company of artists.
